- Accompany residents in the Western Home Communities bus to medical appointments.
- Accompany residents in the Western Home Communities bus on Fridays from 1:30 - 4:00 shopping
- Assist residents to Chapel on Sunday mornings
- Lead a men’s group
- Provide entertainment for an afternoon activity - musical instrument, singing, musical group, other
- Volunteer at our annual Friends Breakfast
- Work in the Friends Store - 2 hours once a month
- Serve refreshments in Thalman Square
- Serve on the Friends Board
- Teach residents e-mail and internet use
- Weed and water the flowers in the Friends Forever Garden

Your volunteer time and donations allow FRIENDS to complete projects that benefit the residents of Western Home Communities. Past and current projects include: - Mobile computer lab with ten stations for resident computer classes
- Renovation of former East Solarium at Stanard Family Assisted Living, now named Friends Solarium
- Barn quilts on both barns at South Campus
- Provided Wii’s for each building and large screen TVs
- Purchase of buses for resident transportation
- Automatic entrance doors for Martin Health Center
- Dressers for resident rooms in Martin Health Center
- “Friends Forever” raised gardens at the Downtown Campus
