Windhaven Assisted Living Center/Thalman Square and Stanard Family Assisted Living Center are certified through the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. Thalman Square is designed specifically to serve residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Each center is staffed by licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants, certified medication aides, nursing assistants residents, unit assistants and universal workers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each living unit at Stanard Center is equipped with a call light for emergencies. At Windhaven and Thalman Square, each resident has an emergency call pendant that alerts staff. Meals are provided in our gracious dining room. Escort service is available for those needing assistance and tray service is available in the event of illness. Each resident has a personal key for his/her unit and may decorate it to reflect personal tastes. Each resident is assessed by a licensed nurse prior to moving in and when condition changes occur. Regular health screening are also available. Communication of any health concerns/changes is a necessity between each resident and nurse.
