About Us

Embracing The Challenge

For nearly 100 years, Western Home Communities has served as a quality of life resource for the Cedar Valley.  The continuum of services and caring that maintain choice and independence remain the focus of our community.  Facing the challenge of increased costs and the wonders of living longer cannot always be met with even the best-laid financial plans of yesterday or today.  Western Home Foundation was created to help meet this ongoing challenge.

Over the years generous gifts have been critical to fund facilities and programs.  They have also helped to maintain the security that no one has ever been asked to leave Western Home Communities because of utilizing all of their financial resources.  The facts are, with today’s ever changing economy and state and federal funding constraints, small fund raising programs such as breakfasts and golf tournaments, cannot begin to meet the need.  This year Western Home Communities will provide approximately $950,000 in charitable care in the Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center and Stanard Family Assisted Living Center.

We are approaching 100 years of history that has emphasized our mission of assertively seeking to create fulfilling lifestyles for seniors, staff, and families.  Continuing to secure this mission for the next 100 years will call for even more, and we invite you and your family to join us in being part of extending that blessing.

There are many “win-win” opportunities that can provide tax advantages, increased cash flow, and being a help to others that only people who have been blessed can enjoy.

Help us continue the legacy.  Please invite us to join you to explore the possibilities.
